Purpose of Vietnam Embassy Legalisation

These days, more people are moving to Vietnam in search of permanent jobs. They have to go through certain processes, like being married in Vietnam and getting their work permit approved in India, in order for the Vietnamese consulate to legally accept their documents, guaranteeing their legal presence in Vietnam.

Why are documents that are issued in Vietnam subject to authorization before being utilized there?

The formal procedure by which a diplomatic or consular organization certifies the legitimacy of the seal and final signature on a document that has been completed by the relevant agency is known as Vietnam Embassy Legalisation. Legalization by a consulate establishes a document's validity in another country. Any documents used in Vietnam must first undergo consular legalization, and vice versa, as there is no agreement between Vietnam regarding the exemption from consular legalization.

The In Ministry of External Affairs must verify your document after it has been duly notarized by a lawyer or by Notary Public Offices. Forward the documentation to the Vietnamese embassy for consular legalization.

This process is also known as legalization or attestation by the Vietnam Embassy. During this stage, you will provide the Vietnamese embassy with the following documentation:

Notarizing and authenticating the following papers was the first step: the form LS/HPH-2012/TK, which is a brief note requesting the legalization service together with contact information, including full name/company, address, and phone number. Copies of the notarized documents and any related personal documents (passport, identity card, etc.) should be forwarded to the embassy.
